Nigerian side, Rivers United midfielder Paul Acquah focused on the team’s overall experience, has positioned them as the favorites against Dreams FC.

“We are more experienced than Dreams FC,” Acquah confidently stated in an interview on Happy FM.

Drawing attention to their quarterfinalist status in the previous year’s competition, Acquah highlighted the disparity in experience between the two teams.

“We were quarterfinalists last year as compared to Dreams who are making their maiden appearance in the competition”.

While Dreams FC was making its debut in the CAF Confederations Cup, Rivers United aimed to leverage its seasoned history.

The team’s recent 3-0 victory against APC Lobito in the first group game further fueled Acquah’s confidence.

They will hope to make two wins out of two.

The game against Dreams FC will be played at the Kumasi Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday, December 3, 2023.

They are expected to arrive in Ghana on Friday.
