The Assembly Member for Amamomo Electoral Area, Musah Ziyad, has revealed that the absence of functional traffic lights within the Odododiodio constituency, notably in the Bukom community, has led to a significant loss of lives.

The assembly member made this assertion while addressing escalating challenges facing the community.

He highlighted the non-operational state of the traffic light along the old UTC stretch as a critical concern contributing to numerous fatalities in the area.

In an interview on Happy 98.9FM’s Epa Hoa Daben show, Happy on Wheels edition, he noted that, all efforts to bring attention to the damaged traffic lights have proved futile. “We have filed complaints, we have even called on notable personalities, including the mayor of Accra to do something about it all to no avail.”

Additionally, he identified water scarcity and sanitation as pressing issues confronting the residents of the Bukom community. Despite acknowledging the growing problems within the Ododiodiodio constituency, Ziyad emphasized the importance of unity in tackling these challenges head-on.
