Dr. Clement Apaak, Member of Parliament for Builsa South Constituency has launched a biting attack on the government, alleging partisan manipulation in buffer stock arrangements.

In an exclusive interview on the Happy Morning Show with Sefah-Danquah, he accused the ruling NPP government of using the buffer stock system as a tool for political patronage. He suggested that it serves the interests of those affiliated with the ruling party while neglecting the broader populace.

“The whole buffer stock arrangement has been designed to benefit the current party in power, its apparatchiks, and their associates because there can not be any guarantee,” he stated.

Dr. Apaak further warned of impending consequences, stating, “A lot of people will be prosecuted in the next government.” His statement hinted at potential legal repercussions for individuals involved in what he perceives as manipulative practices within the buffer stock scheme.

Critics have long accused the administration of leveraging state resources for partisan gains, casting doubts on the integrity of key programmes like the Free SHS policy, 1D1F and the buffer stock initiative.
