The President Of Ghana, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has been confirmed to have officially released a full KPMG report per requests made by the Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA)
The Media Foundation for West Africa (MFWA) made an initial request to the President on April 24, 2024 for the KPMG report on the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) and Strategic Mobilisation Limited (SML) transaction, under section 18 of the Right To Information Act, 2019 (Act 989) RTI Act.
The initial request was denied by the President, citing Section 5 of the Right to Information Act. which makes certain exemptions for dissemination of information especially when they are confidential.
According to a press release signed by Director of Communications at the Office of the President, Eugene Arhin, the President had already shared key findings from the report publicly on April 24, 2024.
However, in a move for greater transparency, he has officially released the full KPMG report. The report is now accessible on the President’s official website.
