Presidential candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has declared that his vision for a 24-hour economy holds the key to unlocking solutions for Ghana’s economic and financial challenges, offering a path towards revitalization and growth.

Discussing issues of national interest in a special live broadcast, “Mahama Conversations”, focused on matters of national importance, former President John Dramani Mahama emphasized that his proposed 24-hour economy initiative is the solution to Ghana’s current and future challenges, offering a forward-looking approach to address the country’s pressing economic and financial issues.

According to John Mahama, the 24-hour economy initiative will foster a supportive and conducive environment, empowering businesses, companies, and government agencies to expand their operations, create new job opportunities, and hire more workers, thereby boosting employment rates and driving economic growth.

Mr. Mahama highlighted the transformative impact of the 24-hour economy initiative, which he believes will significantly improve the quality of life for a large segment of the Ghanaian population, leading to better economic security, increased prosperity, and a higher standard of living for many citizens.

“The 24-hour economy initiative is a visionary solution for Ghana’s economic growth, both in the present and future. By implementing deliberate policies, it will establish a supportive environment where businesses, companies, and government institutions can operate around the clock, adopting a three-shift system (8 hours each) to maximize productivity, efficiency, and employment opportunities,” he said
