Deputy Minority Leader in Parliament, Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah has revealed that there would be a massive protest over government’s plan to recruit 11,000 persons into the various security agencies.
According to him, this government’s process of recruiting new people into the country’s security agencies is not clear because they did not follow the standard procedures of recruiting eligible Ghanaians.
The minority says since the recruitment process is not clear enough, the Minister of interior should halt the recruitment process and follow the proper channel so that who qualifies can apply.
Meanwhile, Deputy Ranking Member on parliament Defence and interior Committee, James Agalga has already accused the minister of interior of trying to enlist loyalists of NPP into the security agencies.
He also said the enlisting of NPP loyalists into the security services will cause chaos in the upcoming 2024 general elections just as it happened during the 2020 election.
