The running mate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has paid a courtesy visit to his Royal Majesty Nene Sakite II, Konor of Manya and President of the Eastern Region House of Chiefs.

Dr. Opoku Prempeh stated that the visit was to seek blessings, wise counsel, and more from the traditional leader. He emphasized the commitment of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to fostering a stronger partnership with traditional authorities, which he believes is essential for harmony and socio-economic development.

In a Facebook post on Monday, July 15, 2024, Dr. Opoku Prempeh mentioned that he also took the opportunity to express his condolences to the family of the late Hon. Sub. Lt. Christian Kofi Tettey, known as Black Slate. Hon. Tettey he said was a founding member of the NPP who devoted his life to serving the party and the country.

Dr. Opoku Prempeh encouraged party members to follow the example of Hon. Tettey’s dedication to the NPP’s ideals and to work diligently for victory in the upcoming December elections.
