Finance Minister to present 2024 Mid-Year Budget today

Finance Minister Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam will present the 2024 Mid-Year Budget Review in Parliament today 23rd July 2024.

His presentation will provide an update on the implementation of the government’s 2024 Budget, alongside revised financial plans and an updated economic outlook for Ghana.

In a statement dated Monday, July 22, the Ministry indicated that the review will offer an update on the 2024 budget implementation, highlighting the economic and fiscal performance for the first half of the year.

The review will also cover growth measures, revenue and expenditure performance, financing, and debt sustainability.

The Minister will also provide Parliament with an update on the implementation of the ongoing US$3 billion International Monetary Fund (IMF) loan-supported Post-COVID-19 Programme for Economic Growth (PC-PEG).

This will be Dr. Amin Adam’s first presentation in Parliament since becoming Finance Minister in February 2024, in accordance with Section 28 of the Public Financial Management Act, 2016 (Act 921).
