Former Transport Minister, Mike Hammah has urged Okada and Pragya riders to Vote for the National Democratic Congress in the upcoming 2024 general elections in order to legalize the Okada business. According to him, the NDC has a lot of social intervention programmes for Ghanaians especially the youth to reduce the high unemployment rate and legalizing Okada Business is one of them.

Speaking on behalf of the Leader and Flag bearer of NDC, John Dramani Mahama at the inauguration of the Central Regional executives of Pragia operators at Kasoa in the Awutu Senya East Constituency, Mr Hammah noted that, the next NDC administration will put proper measures in place to protect the Okada business. He added that intensive training will be given to riders and stakeholders engagement will be held to address any hindrance associated with the Okada business

National Secretary of Tricycle Operators in Ghana, Hamza Hafiz appealed to the current government to amend laws to legalize the Pragia or tricycle business because it has created job opportunities for the youth. He added that the tricycle business plays a major role in the transportation sector especially in the Northern part of Ghana and most remote areas where vehicles cannot access.
