President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has endorsed his Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, as the ideal candidate to succeed him, emphasizing Dr. Bawumia’s exceptional leadership qualities and unwavering dedication to Ghana’s progress.

Speaking at the NPP’s manifesto launch in Takoradi on Sunday, August 18, President Akufo-Addo commended Dr. Bawumia’s significant contributions to their administration’s successes, particularly highlighting his honesty, loyalty, and commitment to the nation’s development.

The President assured Ghanaians that Dr. Bawumia would continue to serve with humility and respect. In contrast, he criticized the approach of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, who, when faced with challenges, resorted to insults.

Akufo-Addo emphasized his confidence in Dr. Bawumia, noting that after 16 years of working closely together, both in opposition and in government, he has never regretted their partnership. He urged Ghanaians to entrust the country’s future to Dr. Bawumia and his running mate, NAPO, over the next eight years.

The President praised Dr. Bawumia as a model of honesty, a man deeply committed to Ghana, and someone who would deliver on all his promises. He also expressed his personal trust in his Vice President, sharing that he has always gone to bed assured that Dr. Bawumia stands firmly by his side.

He stressed that Dr. Bawumia would work tirelessly, day and night, to ensure the country continues on an upward path.
