In a bid to avert a planned protest by renal patients, the management of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital has pledged to expedite the clearance of essential consumables currently stuck at the port.

The patients, who have been denied vital medical care for three weeks due to the shortage, had threatened to picket on Wednesday, August 21, over the delay. With the Renal Unit already closed for three weeks, the hospital’s assurance brings hope to patients in dire need of treatment.

Public Relations Officer of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Mustapha Salifu has assured that the hospital is taking swift and decisive action to address the shortage of renal consumables and restore vital medical services to patients. In an exclusive interview, Salifu emphasized the hospital’s commitment to resolving the issue expeditiously and getting the Renal Unit back up and running as soon as possible.
