The Ghana Police Service has denied reports of militia training in Kwahu, Eastern Region, ahead of the 2024 general elections.

Following a thorough investigation, the Police found no credible evidence to substantiate these allegations, and therefore, dismissed them as baseless. The statement from the Police aims to reassure the public and maintain calm, emphasizing that there is no truth to the claims of militiamen being trained in the region.

The Ghana Police Service has issued a stern warning to the public against spreading false information and misinformation, emphasizing the importance of responsible communication.

The Police urged citizens to refrain from publishing and sharing fake news, which can cause harm and undermine public trust, and instead promote factual and accurate information.
