Former President John Dramani Mahama has arrived in Lagos, Nigeria, to deliver the keynote address at the Nigerian Bar Association’s Annual Conference.

He will attend the official opening ceremony later today, Sunday, and deliver the Keynote Address at the conference’s Opening Plenary on Monday, August 26th.

Mahama, was invited as a special guest to share insights on this year’s conference theme, focusing on law, democracy, and governance.

His address is expected to highlight the significance of the legal profession in promoting justice, strengthening democracy, and ensuring good governance across the continent.

The Nigerian Bar Conference, one of the most prestigious legal gatherings in Africa, attracts professionals from the legal community, political leaders, and key stakeholders from diverse sectors.

The 64th annual general conference theme, “Pressing Forward – A National Posture for Rebuilding Nigeria,” resonates deeply with Mahama’s advocacy for democratic governance, the rule of law, and collaborative efforts toward national development.

The former president and leader of the National Democratic Congress continues to emphasise the importance of accountability and leadership in governance.

Mahama’s participation underscores his continued influence and thought leadership on matters of democracy and development in Africa.

The event promises to be a significant platform for discourse on pressing issues facing Nigeria and the broader African continent.
