A member of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) Communication Team and former Women’s Organizer aspirant, Ellen Ama Daaku has commended Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the party’s flagbearer, for his transparency and honesty in addressing the country’s economic challenges. Following Dr. Bawumia’s recent media encounter at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra on Sunday, August 25. Mrs. Daaku highlighted his willingness to acknowledge the economic crises facing Ghana since 2022 and the NPP-led government’s efforts to address them.

She emphasized that every government faces economic challenges, but it’s the leadership’s response that matters. Mrs. Daaku contrasted Dr. Bawumia’s behavior with that of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, who she claimed failed to acknowledge and address the country’s crises during his tenure, including the electricity problem “Dumsor”, unpaid allowances, high cost of living, and excessive taxes. Instead, Mahama reportedly dismissed concerns, saying he was a “dead goat” who didn’t care.

Mrs. Daaku praised Dr. Bawumia as a trustworthy leader who has outlined policies and initiatives to implement if the NPP is re-elected in December. She urged Ghanaians to trust Dr. Bawumia’s leadership and the NPP’s commitment to addressing the country’s challenges.
