Kwahu Abene Akyiamehene, Nana Asare Kwabeng, has refuted earlier rumors that the Kwahu Manhene has barred chiefs in Kwahu from welcoming Dr. Bawumia into their palaces.

Dr. Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), is currently touring the Eastern Region.

Reports had suggested that Kwahu Manhene had prohibited him from entering palaces, forcing Dr. Bawumia to meet chiefs outside their palaces.

However, in a subsequent interview on Happy Kasiebo, Nana Asare Kwabeng, the Kwahu Abene Akyiamehene, stated that these claims are entirely false.

He clarified that the Vice President’s visit to the Kwahu Manhene had been scheduled, but they were later informed on the morning of the visit that he did not arrive as planned.

Nana Kwabeng hinted at possible political interference by some individuals who didn’t want the progress of Kwahu and vowed to expose and hold those responsible accountable.
