The newly elected National Chairman of the People’s National Convention, Asaki Samson Awingobit has assured members and sympathisers of the party that they will not regret electing him as their National Chairman.

According to him, the delegates have elected the youngest and vibrant Chairman who is going to work hard for the party to secure victory in the upcoming 2024 general elections.

In an interview with Kwadwo Sefah-Danquah on Happy 98.9 FM’s Morning Show, the newly elected Chairman expressed his profound gratitude to the delegates for expressing confidence in him and voting for him to become National Chairman of the Party.

He also said, under his leadership, party interests will be promoted over personal interest and aggressively addressed party issues and policies for a united front.

Samson Awingobit was able to defeat his contender Hajia Hajara.

Out of the 1,382 vote cast, Awingobit pulled 893 votes while Hajia Hajara had 460.
