John Mahama promises to rightfully restore founders day to celebrate Kwame Nkrumah

Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama has promised to restore founders day to recognize Kwame Nkrumah in the next NDC administration.

According to him, the hatred and bitterness harboured by those who dislike and hate Nkrumah still erupt from time to time as exemplified in the recent outrage that was expressed by the whole nation at the description of Kwame Nkrumah in the derogatory term of that your Kwame Nkrumah, (saa mo kwame Nkrumah no).

John Mahama also accused the ruling Government of filling the children textbooks with a different version of the history of Ghana.

“History cannot be revised, no matter how you filled our children’s textbooks with different version of our history. Founders day must be a day that recognizes Nkrumah, the leader who delivered independence to Ghana and whose vision was Continental in scope.

Addressing the chiefs and people of Nzemaland to celebrate the 115th birthday of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, John Mahama said the next NDC administration will remove the distortions in our history and restore Kwame Nkrumah to his rightfully place in the history of Ghana.
