2024 GMA/Japan Motors Corporate Run and walk takes corporate team bonding to exciting heights

Global Media Alliance in partnership with Japan Motors commemorated the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Day with the annual Corporate Run and Walk.

The event, which took place on Saturday, 21st September 2024 at the Silver Star Towers
attracted over 200 participants from various corporate institutions in Ghana, fostering teamwork, health, and physical activity.

Participants raced through a mapped-out route from the Silver Star Tower to 37 Station, the El-Wak traffic light, Airport Roundabout, Airport Traffic Light and finished at the starting point.

The much anticipated Corporate Run and Walk provided a platform for employees from different companies to come together to run,walk ,network, and engage in a healthy and fun activity.

The event was well-coordinated, with aerobics exercises, refreshments and entertainment to ensure a memorable day for all participants.

At the end of the race, Bismark Kwakye emerged the Fastest Visually Impaired Runner with a time of 34:48 , Austin Bright from Blue Bubble Laundry was crowned the Fastest Male Manager with a time of 23:40 while Susana Larry from Harmonis Africa Insurance emerged the fastest Female Manager. The Fastest Male Runner went to Kiplantanga Ezra from Dr. Ceaser Lina Tea beating a time of 15:48, with Clemetina Chelang frpm Dr. Ceasar Lina Tea winning the Fastest Female Runner with a time of 17:15.
The Fastest CEO (Male) award went to Jerry Parker from Ignaro Investment while Majumin Shimiru
topped the Fastest Female CEO. The fastest Over 60 Runner went to Gabriel Atsu

The second Fastest CEO(Male) went to Salem Kalmoni from Japan Motors with an average time of 30:49 while the third fastest CEO went to Ernest Boateng from Global Media Alliance with an average time of 36:40.

Kustin Bright became the fastest Male Manager with an average time of 23:40 while Susana Larry from Harmonia Africa Insurance with an average time of 41:23.

company emerged the Fastest Corporate Team, with an average time of 18:40.
Happy FM came second with an average time of 28:26 while AA linkus Company Limited came third with an average time of 48:35.

Chief Executive Officer of Global Media Alliance, Ernest Boateng commented,
“We are delighted to partner with Japan Motors to have this event. This event has been in existence for the past 14 years now and its a fantastic opportunity to see the health and wellness of employees and companies being promoted.The Corporate Run and Walk is a great way for our employees to bond, stay active, and have fun. I would like to use this opportunity to congratulate all the winners and best of luck to those who made efforts too . We are hopeful to gain better results next year.”

“As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), GH¢10 from each registration has been set aside and will be donated to the Ghana Blind Union as a form of support to the union. This is an initiative that e.TV Ghana and Japan Motors have been carrying out for the past 12 years” he added.

On his part, Salah Kweku Kalmoni, Event Director of Corporate Run, expressed excitement as he used the opportunity to appreciate all sponsors who came on board to make this year’s Corporate Run and walk a success. He expressed gratitude to all the corporate institutions that took part in the run, “your presence and support is well recognised.”

This year’s event was sponsored by Global Media Alliance, Silver Star Auto, Lakeside Marina Park, Silver Star Tower Limited, Lakeside Estate, Run Ghana, Omamfofor, HappyFM, YFM.
