Director of Advocacy and Policy Engagement at the Center for Democratic Development (CDD), Dr. Kojo Pumpuni Asante, has expressed his disagreement with the live coverage of the IPAC meeting. He says the idea is not a good one.

He explained that, while transparency is essential, constant media presence could change the dynamics of discussions, leading to more political grandstanding and less productive dialogue.

According to him, though the EC has done well by conducting a timely meeting to address concerns raised by the NDC, he disagrees with the live coverage all the time as its not a good idea.

Highlighting on the IPAC meeting held on Tuesday October 1st, 2024, Dr. Asante says, the meeting on Tuesday ‘’shows that a lot has been achieved, the EC preparation was important, in terms of trying to provide information as to what they have done’’.

He says, the meeting has helped clarify issues and has helped move the conversation forward.
