The annual Happy FM blood donation drive in partnership with Donewell Insurance is scheduled to take place of Saturday, October 26th, 2024.

Since its inception, the Happy FM/Donewell blood donation drive has seen the donation of over 1,200 units of blood to both the Ghana National Blood Service and the 37 Military Hospital Blood Bank.

Under the theme ‘’Give Blood, Give Often”, the 2024 edition of the Happy FM/Donewell blood donation drive will take place at the STC Bus Terminal at Madina.

Starting at 9:00am, the blood donation drive will see medical professionals from the National Blood Bank and 37 Military hospital, take donors through stringent screening processes, draw their blood through a painless procedure, and give free medical advice.

Donors will also enjoy free medical and eye screening from My Eyes Center. On Saturday, October 26th, 2024, donors will also have the opportunity to meet and interact with management, on air staff, DJs and the various personalities you listen to on Happy FM’s airwaves.

Speaking about the Blood Donation exercise, Programmes Manager of Happy98.9FM, Kwabena Ampong underscored the importance of donating blood. “As a brand, we understand the critical need for blood in emergency situations, most especially blood loss during childbirth and accidents. This is why we have taken it upon ourselves to annually organize the Happy FM/Donewell blood donation drive to support and help stock the National Blood Bank and the 37 Military Hospital Blood Bank.”

He further urged Ghanaians to make it a point to troop to the STC Bus Terminal in Madina, on Saturday 26th October, 2024 to donate blood and save lives.
