Ghana’s foremost youth centric and urban radio brand, YFM, has shown its supremacy in the area of ‘djing’ and music in Ghana by grabbing twenty-five (25) nominations at the 2024 edition of the Guinness Ghana DJ Awards.
DJs and hypemen across the golden YFM Triangle made up of Y107.9FM-Accra, Y102.5FM-Kumasi and Y97.9FM-Takoradi received nominations in various categories.
Director of Broadcasting at Global Media Alliance Broadcast Company (GMABC), Timothy Karikari PhD. Speaking about the nominations made no attempt at hiding his genuine surprise about these nominations.
“Undoubtedly YFM has the best DJs in the country and we all know that but these nominations came as a surprise to us. Twenty-five (25) nominations split amongst the golden Y Triangle is no small feat to achieve. I applaud our DJs and MCs who made the nominations and pray they keep on soaring and achieving greater heights”.
He indicated that YFM has set itself apart by being the go to brand for quality music and having the top notch DJs in the country, and these nominations attest and solidify the brand’s position in the Ghanaian music space.
The Ghana DJ Awards 2024 will take place on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 8 PM at the Palms Convention Centre.
The event will mark 12 years of celebrating exceptional DJ entertainment in Ghana.
