Nigeria’s Super Fly Eagles are champions of the WAFU Zone B U-20 Cup after beating Ghana.
The young Eagles clinched the trophy on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, after beating their Ghanaian rivals 2-1.
In a game of two halves at the Stade de Kegue in Lome, Togo, Nigeria’s two first half goals decided the game as Ghana was only able to get a consolation goal.
Kparobo Arierhi scored twice for Nigeria in the first half while Jerry Afriyie got the consolation goal for Ghana in the 76th minute.
Both Ghana and Nigeria have now qualified for the U-20 African Cup of Nations in 2025.
