The Greater Accra Regional Football Association (GARFA) has announced a groundbreaking partnership with Accra-based Game TV to broadcast the regional Division Two League. The collaboration, aimed at boosting the visibility of grassroots football in Ghana, was officially sealed at a signing ceremony in Accra on Friday.

The two-year agreement allows Game TV to broadcast four to six matches weekly, with the telecast of matches already underway. The initiative marks a significant milestone in promoting the Division Two League and providing a platform for young talents to showcase their skills.

GARFA Chairman, Samuel Aboabire, expressed his excitement about the partnership, underscoring the Association’s unwavering commitment to grassroots football development. “GARFA has been at the forefront of advancing grassroots football in Ghana, and this partnership with Game TV is a significant step forward,” he said. “It will provide a platform to showcase the talent within our Division Two League, ensuring greater exposure and opportunities for our clubs and players. We are grateful to Game TV for their trust and belief in our vision, and we look forward to the great things we will achieve together.”

Game TV’s CEO, Madam Bibi Bright, highlighted the importance of the collaboration in nurturing future football stars. “We are proud to be partnering with GARFA and shining a light on the several talents in the Division Two League,” she said. “These players are the future of Ghanaian football, and through our broadcasts, we aim to bring their stories to a wider audience by offering fans a front-row seat to the action, hoping to inspire the next generation of players and supporters.”

Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe, Head of Public Relations and Strategy at the Ghana Football Association, lauded the partnership as a major boost for regional football development. “We thank Game TV for their investment in supporting Ghana Football through this partnership with GARFA and look forward to more of such partnerships for all our Regional Football Associations,” he said.

This partnership underscores the growing commitment to enhancing grassroots football in Ghana, paving the way for greater opportunities for emerging talent and increased engagement with football enthusiasts across the country.
