The Presidential Candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has revealed that, through the Free SHS policy, the number of girls enrolled in the senior High School has risen up.
According to him, since the introduction of the Free Senior High School Policy, there have been significant improvements in the enrollment of girls in second cycle institutions than boys
“Before we started the Free Senior High School policy, boys outnumbered girls in senior high schools, but with the introduction of the policy, we have a higher percentage of girls enrolled unto the policy”.
He reiterated his promise to continue the Free Senior High School policy.
Speaking with stakeholders at Subin in the Ashanti Region, Dr. Bawumia emphasized his commitment to bettering the education sector to ensure that every child in the country has access to education.
“If we continue this way, very soon every household will have an educated person. Education can take you everywhere. It can transform our country”.
