Member of Parliament for the Awutu Senya East Constituency, Mavis Hawa Koomson has dismissed allegations of distributing cash and sewing machines to security personnel as baseless and politically motivated.

The claims, which suggest that ¢1,800 and sewing machines were offered to influence votes, have been widely circulated through social media and text messages as the special voting exercise begins in the Awutu Senya East Constituency of the Central Region.

She has urged the public to disregard the allegations, attributing them to political opponents aiming to tarnish her reputation.

She noted that the special voting process, involving about 1,298 registered voters, has so far proceeded smoothly and called on all stakeholders to ensure that the general elections are equally peaceful and orderly.

Representing the New Patriotic Party, Hawa Koomson, actively participated as a polling agent in the constituency. She reaffirmed her commitment to promoting peaceful and credible elections in Kasoa.
