The Sports Writers Association of Ghana (SWAG) has extended warm congratulations to President-Elect John Dramani Mahama on his recent electoral victory.

In a statement signed by SWAG President Kwabena Yeboah, the association hailed Mr. Mahama’s triumph as a fresh opportunity for transformative leadership in Ghana.

SWAG expressed its willingness to collaborate with the President-Elect to enhance sports development in the country. “H.E. John Dramani Mahama has demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing sports in Ghana by engaging key stakeholders, including the Sports Writers Association of Ghana, during the pre-election period,” the statement emphasized.

The association commended the peaceful conduct of the elections and lauded Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia for his gracious concession, underscoring the importance of unity and democracy.

SWAG conveyed its best wishes to President-Elect Mahama as he prepares to assume office, expressing optimism that his tenure will usher in prosperity, stability, and significant progress for Ghana, including sports.
