Lead Counsel for Dr. Amanda Odoi, Ernest Arko has expressed his dissatisfaction with the Supreme Court’s unanimous decision to reject the petition filed by Broadcaster, Richard Dela Skyy and Dr. Amanda Odoi on the legality of the Human Sexual Rights and Family Values Bill.

‘’We disagree with the court’s decision, we respect the decision but we disagree with the decision, we are yet to have the full records which the court has indicated that, it will produce on Friday, when we get it, we will study it and we will known our next line of action. For now we are not saying much’’.

Speaking to journalists after a seven-member panel led by Justice Lovelace Avril Johnson, dismissed the petition filed by Richard Dela Skyy and Dr. Amanda Odoi, Lawyer Ernest Odoi mentioned that the Supreme Court has a review jurisdiction which is readily available for a review but all depends on his Client, Dr. Amanda Odoi.

‘’So yes the decision of Supreme Court is final, this is not final. There is another league of finality to go. There is a review jurisdiction for the Supreme Court which is available to us to use it and so its not final yet.

He added that, ‘’I know some people are talking about review but we will have to see the records first. We wait to see if the president will sign the bill’’.

The Supreme Court earlier today Wednesday December 18, 2024, unanimous dismissed the petition filed by broadcast journalist and lawyer Richard Dela Sky and Dr. Amanda Odoi
