The Parliament of Ghana has announced that the registration of Members of Parliament-elect (MPs-elect) for the incoming Parliament will commence on Wednesday, December 25, 2024.

This marks an important step towards the inauguration of the 9th Parliament of the 4th Republic of Ghana.

According to a statement issued on Tuesday, December 24, the registration will begin with an online process, followed by a physical registration phase scheduled from Thursday, January 2, to Monday, January 6, 2025.

The statement added that MPs-elect will receive targeted messages with details for the online registration through WhatsApp or email. For the physical registration, MPs-elect can reach out to designated officers for assistance or clarification via the contact numbers 055 022 2200 or 050 363 4466.

Parliament has also made transportation arrangements for MPs-elect, with buses set to depart from Parliament’s premises to Independence Square at 8:00 am each day during the physical registration period.
