The parliamentary candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Ablekuma North constituency, Ewurabena Aubynn has expressed optimism about the judicial process despite delays in the High Court’s ruling on a mandamus application filed by the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

She emphasized that the NDC remains confident that the will of the people will prevail, regardless of the legal maneuvers employed by their opponents.

She highlighted that all parties involved were privy to the courtroom proceedings, which lasted for six hours during the latest sitting.

“We were all in the courtroom for six hours of sitting and no matter how the NPP decides to twist and turn issues they are all privy to events so I have no doubt that the will of the people will still stand,” she said.

The High Court has scheduled its ruling for Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 12 noon. This comes after the court dismissed the NDC’s objection, which questioned the court’s jurisdiction to hear the case. The NPP’s application seeks directives concerning constituencies including Tema Central, Okaikwei Central, and Techiman South.
