The Electoral Commission (EC) has officially declared the results of the 2024 presidential election, with one constituency’s outcome still outstanding.

In a statement released on January 10, the EC provided details on the total valid votes, rejected ballots, and overall voter turnout in the election.

This announcement follows an earlier update on December 9, 2024, which was based on results from 267 out of 276 constituencies. At that time, results from nine constituencies were pending. The latest update resolves eight of these, leaving just one constituency unresolved.

According to the updated results, John Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) won the election with 6,591,790 votes, representing 56.42% of the total votes cast.

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), secured 4,877,611 votes, accounting for 41.75% of the votes.

Nana Kwame Bediako, popularly known as Cheddar, leader of the New Force Party, was the top-performing candidate among the smaller parties, earning 88,944 votes, or 0.76% of the total.

The EC has yet to release the final results for the remaining constituency.
