The Elections scheduled for Tuesday, 11th February 2025, is set to take place in all Regional Capitals, with venues to be determined by the Commission.

The EC announced that, qualified candidates are required to submit their Nomination Forms, accompanied by two recent bust-sized photographs against a red background, clearly showing their full face and ears.

In a statement, the EC indicated that, “the Nomination Forms shall be submitted to the Regional Director of their respective Regions from Tuesday, 28th January, to Friday, 14 January, 2025, between the hours of 9.00 am and 12.00 pm and 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm each day”.

The statement further explained that, nominations must be endorsed by two Registered Voters in the Region, who will propose and second the candidate, along with an additional twenty Registered Voters from the Region. The candidate must also consent to their nomination for election as a Member of the Council of State.

“Completed Nomination Forms must be delivered to the Regional Director of the Electoral Commission at the place designated for the receipt of the Nominations and at the time specified above.
