The Greater Accra Regional Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Anthony Nukpenu, has revealed that President John Dramani Mahama is expected to announce Metropolitan, Municipal, and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) by close of business on Friday, January 31.

In an interview on Monday, January 27, Mr. Nukpenu stated that the Greater Accra Region is in the final stages of its vetting process and will soon submit its list of recommended candidates.

“Some regions completed the vetting process last week, We are finalising ours today, and by this evening or early tomorrow morning, we should be forwarding our list to the appropriate office,” he said.

He expressed confidence that the process would be completed smoothly, paving the way for the nationwide announcement of MMDCEs by the end of the week.
