Activist Oliver Barker-Vormawor has confirmed his willingness to appear before the Appointments Committee of Parliament on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, to address bribery allegations he made against its members.

The summons was issued after Barker-Vormawor’s social media post sparked widespread public debate, raising concern about the integrity of the parliamentary vetting process.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday, January 28, acknowledging the committee’s invitation, Barker-Vormawor confirmed his readiness to appear before the Committee.

“This is how democracy improves. I look forward to appearing before the Appointments Committee tomorrow. Thank you,” he stated.

Oliver Barker-Vormawor’s allegations, revealed shortly before a vetting session, accused certain members of the committee of involvement in corrupt practices.

The claims have sparked widespread public debate, with growing calls for greater transparency and accountability in the vetting process.
