An Accra Circuit Court has adjourned the case involving Bishop Elijah Salifu Amoako, General Overseer of Alive Chapel International, Mouha Amoako and sales assistant, Linda Bonsu Bempah to February 17, 2025.

The three have been accused of permitting an unlicensed minor to drive.

Presiding over the case, Mr. Samuel Bright Acquah postponed proceedings after hearing submissions from both the defense counsel and the state attorney.

The accused were arrested following an October 12, 2024, accident in East Legon involving the Amoako’s 16 year old son which tragically claimed the lives of two young girls.

Bishop Amoako, Mouha Amoako and Linda Bonsu Bempah have been charged with allowing an unlicensed driver to operate a vehicle.

The charges arise from an incident where the Elrad Amoako drove a white Jaguar F-Pace Sports SUV without a valid license, colliding with an Acura utility vehicle that caught fire, resulting in two tragic fatalities.

All three accused have pleaded not guilty and are currently out on bail of GHC50,000, with two sureties each.

Their son was previously sentenced to six months in prison by an Accra Juvenile and Family Court after pleading guilty to eight charges, including manslaughter, negligently causing harm, dangerous driving, and driving without a license.

He is currently serving his sentence at the Senior Correctional Home.
