Israel would hand over Gaza after fighting, no US troops needed - says Prez. Trump

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has disclosed that Gaza would not require the intervention of U.S. troops to evacuate Palestinian citizens, contrary to proposals made earlier this week.

Trump faced what reports describe as “worldwide condemnation” after proposing that the United States redevelop the Gaza Strip, necessitating the deployment of U.S. troops to safely relocate Palestinians during the process.

According to reports, this redevelopment plan would allow the United States to rename the region as the “Riviera of the Middle East.”

However, Trump clarified on his social media platform, Truth Social, that the Gaza Strip would be handed over to the United States by Israel once the ceasefire agreement is finalized. “The Gaza Strip would be turned over to the United States by Israel at the conclusion of fighting,” he stated. Palestinians “would have already been resettled in far safer and more beautiful communities, with new and modern homes, in the region.” He added, “No soldiers by the U.S. would be needed!”

Meanwhile, Israel and Hamas are expected to begin talks in Doha regarding the second stage of a ceasefire deal for Gaza, aimed at enabling a full withdrawal of Israeli forces and bringing an end to the conflict.
