President John Mahama has officially sworn in the fourth batch of ministers of state.

This follows their approval by Parliament after undergoing a thorough vetting process and extensive debates by the Appointments Committee.

The swearing-in ceremony, held at the Jubilee House on Friday, February 7, marked the commencement of their duties in key government positions.

Among the newly appointed ministers, Abdul-Rashid Hassan Pelpuo, Minister for Labour, Jobs, and Employment, while Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed takes on the position of Minister for Environment, Science, and Technology. Samuel Nartey George is Minister for Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovations, and Kofi Iddie Adams assumes the role of Minister for Sports and Recreation. Joseph Bukari Nikpe heads the Ministry for Transport, with Kwabena Mintah Akandoh leading the Health Ministry.

Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa now serves as the Minister for Foreign Affairs, while Felix Kwakye Ofosu has taken up the role of Minister of State in Charge of Government Communications. Additionally, Seidu Issifu is Minister of State in Charge of Climate Change and Sustainability.

In the regional administration, Charity Gardiner has been sworn in as the Regional Minister for Ahafo, with Salisu Be-Awuribe Issifu overseeing the Savannah Region. Wilbert Petty Brentum is Regional Minister for Western North, and Joseph Nelson will lead the Western Region. Joseph Addae Akwaboa assumes the position of Regional Minister for Bono, while Francis Owusu Antwi takes charge of Bono East. Eduamoah Ekow Panyin Okyere is Regional Minister for Central region and Puozuing Charles Lwanga will oversee the Upper West Region.

With their official induction into office, these ministers are expected to provide leadership, expertise, and dedication in their respective roles, supporting the government’s efforts to drive national development and implement policies effectively.
