The National Association of Okada Riders has lauded government’s decision to commercialize their activities.

Speaking with Happy Kasiɛbɔ’s Paulina Arthur, the National Spokesperson for the Okada Riders Association, Solomon Akpanaba expressed excitement to the government for fulfilling its campaign promise.

“This is great news to us. This is what we have been calling for”.

Mr. Akpanaba mentioned that, the government has been timely with its promise, hoping for a fruitful meeting between the ministry and the association.

“If the government in his 30days in office has taken such a bold move to begin conversation on the legalization of the Okada business then we are pleased”.

He added, “ we are patiently waiting for and hoping that things go well and once it’s brought before parliament, we hope they expedite the process”

Mr. Akpanaba’s applause comes after the Transport Minister, Joseph Bukari Nike announced plans to legalize the use of motorcycles for commercial transportation purposes.
