Minister of State designate in charge of Public Sector Reform, Lydia Lamisi Akanvariba has reaffirmed the important role digitalization plays in an evolving economy.

In response to the appointment committee’s questioning on digitalization, she affirmed the innovative commitment of the erstwhile Akufo- Addo government in the area of digitalization.

Madam Lamisi Akanvariba reiterated her plans to enhance digital infrastructure within the public sector.

She emphasized her belief in the importance of digitalization and the transformative role it plays within the public sector.

“I do believe that digitalization is the way to go. Yes, some work has been done, but that is not enough. I am here to strengthen what has been started, to fortify all the digital platforms that have been initiated already, to solidify all aspects of digitalization.”

According to Madam Akanvariba, she would be committed to making the public sector efficient, modern, and robust as she plans to collaborate closely with various agencies, ministries, and other public offices.

“There is going to be a collaboration between agencies, ministries, and other public offices”.
