Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky withdrew from intense discussions on Friday, with U.S. President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance, seeking more constructive talks in the UK.

Reports indicate that Zelensky is now engaging with Prime Minister Keir Starmer at Downing Street, swiftly realigning his diplomatic tour.

He also confirmed that he will meet with King Charles Sunday.

During Zelensky’s visit to Washington, Trump accused him of “gambling with World War Three,” a remark that has sparked international reactions.

Sources suggest that the tense discussions began with talks on U.S. access to Ukraine’s rare earth minerals and potential security assurances. However, the conversation escalated into a confrontation, with Trump and Vance criticizing Zelensky for what they saw as a lack of gratitude for American support during the war.

Shortly after leaving the meeting, Zelensky took to X, formerly Twitter, opting for gratitude over conflict.

“Thank you America, thank you for your support, thank you for this visit. Thank you @POTUS, Congress, and the American people. Ukraine needs just and lasting peace, and we are working exactly for that,” he wrote.
