President Donald Trump has called for an immediate halt to all military aid to Ukraine following a disagreement which saw Zelensky abruptly leave the Oval Office in Washington last week .
The halt on all military aid by the U.S, places Ukraine in a tight situation as U.S ranks the biggest source of Military aid to Ukraine.
Reports indicate that the US seems to veer towards solutions to bring about peace and not carry on defense of Ukraine in the four-year long war. “We are pausing and reviewing our aid to ensure that it is contributing to a solution,” a White House official told reporters.
Vice-President JD Vance says the door is open for Ukraine to return to negotiations if Zelensky “is willing to seriously talk peace”
This comes after what reports say was triggered by Zelensky’s disagreememt to see a near end to the ongoing war. Trump criticized the Ukrainian President for saying the end of the war with Russia is “very, very far away.”
