Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, John Dumelo has assured constituents of restoring power to the constituency following an abrupt power outage on account of a downpour early this week.

The MP in a video post made today on his X page, recounted the heavy rains on Tuesday March 25, 2024, destroying billboards, cars and even power lines, disrupting electricity supply across the constituency.

“On Tuesday, there was a heavy rainstorm literally spread through the whole of Accra and Ayawaso West Wuogon was not spared. Some trees fell on some power lines and some billboards.”

Mr. Dumelo expressed his profound apologies to all constituents affected by the two-day power outage which has covered predominantly parts of Legon, Madina, Ogbodzo, East Legon and West Legon.

He has assured all affected constituents that power will be restored by the close of day, Thursday, March 27, 2025.

“I can assure you that the engineers are working round the clock to restore power. Hopefully by today, by the end of today, power should be restored.” the MP said .
