The Ghana Railway Company Limited (GRCL) has announced a temporary suspension of the Accra-Tema shuttle service, citing technical challenges.

In a statement released on Thursday, March 27, 2025, GRCL confirmed that operations would be halted on Thursday, March 27, and Friday, March 28, 2025.

GRCL further stated that, services are expected to resume fully on Wednesday, April 2, 2025.

The suspension, aimed at addressing technical issues affecting the shuttle, is set to impact commuters who rely on the service for daily travel between Accra and Tema.

Regular passengers have been advised to seek alternative means of transportation during the downtime.

“We deeply regret any inconvenience this may have caused our cherished passengers and customers,” the statement read, as the company reassured the public of its dedication to safety and efficiency.

GRCL urged passengers to remain patient while efforts are underway to resolve the issues and restore reliable service.
