The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has unveiled plans for a nationwide “Thank You” tour, set to commence next week, as part of efforts to reconnect with its supporters following its loss in the 2024 general elections.

The announcement was made by the party’s General Secretary, Justin Frimpong Kodua, during a press briefing.

“We will be embarking on a Thank You tour from next week, which we refer to as giving thanks to God in all things. In all things, we give thanks to God”.

He explained that the tour aims to express gratitude to party members and supporters across the country, despite the election outcome.

As part of the initiative, the NPP will hold both Christian and Muslim thanksgiving services to foster inclusivity.

Additionally, the party plans to launch a membership drive to reorganize its base and strengthen its grassroots support.

Mr. Kodua emphasized the importance of unity within the party, urging members to avoid divisive public statements.

“We are one family, and the most important thing is unity in the party. We should watch our utterances. It is not about accusations and counter-accusations,” he cautioned.

The General Secretary also called for patience as the party leadership reviews the recommendations of a 12-member committee that recently submitted a report on the party’s election defeat.

He assured the public that a detailed roadmap for the party’s activities would be shared soon.
