Rogg, a seasoned development economist and diplomat, brings over two decades of experience in international development and foreign service.

Notably, between 2006 and 2009, he worked in Accra as Head of the Governance and Growth Team at the UK’s Department for International Development (DFID), giving him deep familiarity with Ghana’s political and economic landscape.

Currently, Rogg serves as Director for Development and Open Societies at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), and has held senior diplomatic roles in Ethiopia, Nigeria, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Vietnam, and the UK.

His background also includes private sector experience at Merrill Lynch, the Inter-American Development Bank, and Price waterhouse Coopers, as well as time in academia at the University of Oxford.

His appointment is expected to bolster UK-Ghana relations, focusing on trade, security, education, and climate action.
