Ambassador Edward A. Boateng has congratulated the newly elected National Executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), describing their election as both an honour and a call to serve the party at a critical moment in its history.
In a statement, Ambassador Boateng said the lessons of the 2024 elections had made the task before the new leadership clear, to rebuild, reconcile and reposition the NPP for victory in 2028.
He noted that with Chairman John Boadu providing overall political leadership and General Secretary Justin Frimpong Kodua driving the party’s administration and organisation, the national executive must work as one team to strengthen the party at all levels, energise the grassroots and restore Ghanaians’ confidence in the NPP.
“The elections are over and the work of service begins,” he said, stressing that leadership must be anchored in discipline, transparency and fairness. He added that accountability must become a culture within the party rather than a mere aspiration, with the same standards applying to all members regardless of position or influence.
Ambassador Boateng also underscored the importance of reconciliation, calling on the new executives to unite the party, heal internal divisions and ensure every willing member has a place in the work ahead.
He said the overarching goal must be to build a strong and effective party organisation capable of supporting the NPP’s Leader and Flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, towards victory in 2028.
Ambassador Boateng concluded by wishing the new executives wisdom and strength as the party works to regain the confidence of Ghanaians, adding: “The work begins now. God bless the New Patriotic Party, and God bless Ghana.”
