President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to fulfilling the promises outlined in his 120-day contract with Ghanaians, emphasizing urgency, integrity, and transparency in governance.

Delivering a national address to mark his government’s first 120 days in office, Mahama detailed a series of decisive reforms, describing them as the foundation for “Resetting Ghana” and fostering a more inclusive and accountable society.

“From forming a lean government and establishing a robust code of conduct to scrapping burdensome taxes, launching major job creation programmes, tackling illegal mining, reviving our environment, promoting tourism and exports, streamlining scholarships, supporting vulnerable populations, and holding security agencies accountable – the groundwork for ‘Resetting Ghana’ is being laid with speed and determination”.

The president noted that these initiatives are not mere symbolic gestures but represent a fundamental transformation in governance.

“These actions are not just checkboxes on a list; they mark a profound shift in how government operates, centered on transparency, efficiency, and an unwavering commitment to the well-being of every Ghanaian”.

Mahama further reinforced his personal commitment to delivering on his pledges, asserting, “I take my promises seriously. My word is my bond.”
