Chief Executive Officer of the defunct Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah popularly called NAM 1 has reacted to the decision of the Court of Appeal to dismiss his application for Stay of Proceedings in his trial.
The Court of Appeal on Monday, May 19, 2025, dismissed a Stay of Proceedings application filed by NAM1.
Nana Appiah Mensah had filed a notice of appeal to challenge an order of the High Court on July 11, 2024 for him to open his Defence to charges over the misappropriation customer’s funds.
Reacting to the decision of the court, NAM 1 told court reporters that it is not over for him yet as he is going to consult his lawyers on the way forward.
He said they might end up going to the Supreme Court to seek redress but they will first explore every available legal option.
“It doesn’t end here, we still have the Supreme Court so we will just exercise all our rights enshrined under the Constitution in this country. So I will confer with my lawyers and will take a decision based on the advice I get,” NAM 1 said.
