The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) has issued a weather alert indicating that thunderstorms and rain of varying intensities are expected across parts of the country later today.
This forecast comes after severe flooding occurred in Accra over the weekend, resulting in loss of life and property damage.
Residents in affected areas are advised to stay alert and take necessary precautions.
GMet predicts varying weather conditions across Ghana, with the southern part expected to be mostly cloudy with sunny intervals in the afternoon, while the northern part will be largely sunny.
However, thunderstorms and rain are forecasted for the coastal, middle, transition, and northern sectors in the late afternoon and evening.
