The Member of Parliament for Bosomtwe and former Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, has expressed his readiness to work with current Education Minister Haruna Iddrisu to advance Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education in Ghana.

In an interview on Happy 98.9 FM’s Epa Hoa Daben show with Bismark Brown, Dr. Adutwum stated that although STEM education was a key initiative under the New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration, he is fully committed to supporting its progress regardless of which party is in power.

“For the love of the country, I cannot sit aloof and watch the education sector decline just because my party is not in government. No, for the future of Ghanaian children, I will collaborate with him [Haruna Iddrisu] for the betterment of the country,” Dr. Adutwum said.

He stressed that the development of the nation’s children transcends partisan lines and that his involvement in supporting STEM will always be driven by a deep commitment to Ghana’s progress.

Dr. Adutwum also dismissed suggestions that his party, the NPP, would oppose his willingness to assist the current administration. He emphasized that the NPP is focused on the national interest and believes in working for the good of all Ghanaians.

“The NPP really loves Ghanaians and believes that through our efforts, Ghana will be great again. Therefore, no one in the party would oppose my collaboration with the current government if it serves the country’s interests,” he added.
