A tragic accident has claimed the life of a motorbike rider at Assin Nsuta in the Assin South District of the Central Region.
The incident occurred when an articulator truck driver, attempting a wrongful overtaking struck the rider, resulting in his instant death.
Eyewitnesses reported that two articulator trucks were travelling from Assin Fosu toward Cape Coast, while the rider was moving in the opposite direction.
Sadly, one of the trucks hit the motorbike, fatally mutilating his body beyond recognition.
In a dramatic turn of events, the truck driver allegedly tried to escape but was pursued by former Assin Central MP, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, who had just arrived at the scene.
The driver was eventually caught and handed over to the police for further investigation.
